Advanced Trainee/Early Career Consultant in Endocrinology – Temporary/Short term Maternity Leave Position
Geelong Endocrinology & Diabetes is a busy and dynamic multi-specialist private practice committed to delivering high-quality endocrine care. We are seeking an enthusiastic Advanced Trainee/Early Consultant in Endocrinology to join our team on a temporary maternity leave contract from 9 November 2026 to 30 January 2027.
The role is currently full-time (38 hours per week); however, we are flexible and willing to consider alternative working arrangements, including part-time hours and days, to accommodate the needs of the successful applicant.
The Position Includes
- Exposure to a broad range of private outpatient clinics, including:
- General endocrinology
- Diabetes
- Pregnancy endocrinology
- Diabetes technology
Essential Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- Successful completion of the FRACP written and clinical examinations.
- Enrolment in the RACP Advanced Training Program in Endocrinology.
This position is ideally suited to an Advanced Trainee with previous endocrinology experience who is looking to expand their clinical exposure within a supportive and diverse private practice environment.

Advanced Trainee in Endocrinology (2027) * Position has been filled.
Geelong Endocrinology and Diabetes is a busy and dynamic multi-specialist private practice, committed to delivering high-quality endocrine care. We are currently seeking an Advanced Trainee in Endocrinology to join our team in 2027.
This is a Specialist Training Program (STP)-funded position accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) as a Core Training Position, and it is not part of the centralised match. The role is full-time (38 hours per week), with part-time arrangements considered for suitable applicants.
The position includes:
- Exposure to a wide range of private outpatient clinics, including diabetes, general endocrinology, pregnancy endocrinology, and diabetes technology.
- Diabetes (and Endocrine) In Pregnancy clinic at University Hospital Geelong.
- Optional on-call responsibilities with University Hospital Geelong (approximately 1 in 4 weekends).
Eligibility Criteria:
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree
- Successful completion of the FRACP written and clinical examinations
- Enrolled in the Advanced Training Program in Endocrinology with the RACP
- The position would ideally suit a trainee with prior experience in endocrinology seeking greater clinical exposure in a private practice setting.
